2024 SOAR Symposium Guest Speaker
Taylor Jacobs, recently promoted to Associate AD of NIL & Strategic Initiatives in November 2022, brings a wealth of experience from her eight-year tenure as the Compliance Coordinator for LSU Athletics. In her new role, Jacobs leads the NILSU department at LSU, overseeing initiatives aimed at providing education, branding, and opportunities for student-athletes in navigating Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. Through innovative programs like Geaux Time and Build Your Board, Jacobs facilitates engagement between student-athletes and local business leaders, fostering both NIL prospects and post-sports networking opportunities.
During her time as Compliance Coordinator, Jacobs managed the recruiting visit process and supervised the complimentary ticket program for ticketed sports, demonstrating her dedication to ensuring compliance and operational efficiency within the athletics department. Additionally, she played a crucial role in assisting with the initial eligibility process under the Assistant AD of Compliance.
Before joining LSU, Jacobs served as the Recruiting Coordinator for Olympic Sports at Auburn University from 2012 to 2014. In this capacity, she supported various Olympic sports programs in their recruiting endeavors, organizing events and providing valuable assistance to coaching staff.
As a former student-athlete herself, Jacobs competed on the women's tennis team at Auburn University from 2009 to 2012, where she also served as team captain and represented the women's tennis program on Auburn's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Jacobs holds two degrees from Auburn University: a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Italian, earned in May 2012, and a Master of Education in Higher Education with a Sports Administration concentration, completed in December 2013. Her blend of academic achievements, athletic experience, and professional expertise uniquely positions her to make significant contributions to LSU Athletics' strategic initiatives and NIL programming.
