With a decade of coaching experience at LSU, Wilson played a pivotal role in the team's success, contributing to six NCAA Tournament appearances and securing the 2009 SEC Championship. Notable achievements during her tenure include producing multiple All-SEC selections, AVCA All-Region picks, and an AVCA All-American in middle blocker Brittnee Cooper.

In the 2022 season, under Wilson's guidance, LSU Volleyball achieved significant milestones, including its first winning season since 2019 and its first at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament since 2017. The team secured victories over top-ranked opponents and won its first NCAA Tournament match since 2014. Wilson's coaching efforts were also reflected in the recognition received by several student-athletes, with three earning AVCA All-Region accolades and others honored for academic and community service achievements.

Prior to her return to LSU, Wilson served as the associate head coach at Ohio State, where she contributed to the team's impressive record and consecutive NCAA Regional Semifinal appearances.
